It’s autumn and it is time for “Törggelen”, a centuries-old tradition. Part of this traditional way of celebrating the young wine is a long walk throughout the unique autumnal landscape prior to tasting the culinary delights – e.g. ‘new’ wine, roasted chestnuts, Schlutzkrapfen (a filled pasta dish) hearty salted local meats and homemade bread. One things we are not sure yet which city to visit this time. It is either going to be Bolzano the regional capital or Merano with its well known spa resorts..hmmm. Which one would you choose?
